Lopez de Heredia has been making wine for over one hundred twenty-five years. As staunch traditionalists, the family refuses to change the style of their wines to appeal to trends, so everything from the bottle design, winemaking philosophy, and wine links to tradition. All the work is done by hand on the estate, including crafting barrels. Lopez Heredia also cellars its wine longer - sometimes decades longer. This blend of 70% Tempranillo, 20% Garnacha, 5% Graciano, and 5% Mazuelo (Carignan) is barrel-aged for six years and a few more in the bottle. Medium-bodied and vibrant with floral notes, tropical fruit and chocolate notes, spice, tobacco, cherry, and charred wood. Drink now or cellar for another ten years.
