Lilian Duplessis is the 5th-generation winemaker at his family estate of 20 organic acres, where expression of terroir and purity of northern Burgundian Chardonnay are favored over new oak and butter fat. Duplessis makes several low/no sulfur Premier Cru wines: Montmains is the product of two plots on 5 acres, which impart depth, complexity, and age-worthiness. The 2020 is a powerful Chard full of spring blossoms, lemons, apples, and lots of minerals.
