St. Reginald Parish is a cool moniker created by New Orleans transplant Andrew Reginald from St. Tammany Parish. The Marigny is his low-intervention wine from Willamette Valley, Oregon, using traditional grapes but vinified by way of Carbonic Maceration. So, what is carbonic maceration? This winemaking method relies on oxygen-free anaerobic fermentation as whole grape bunches are sealed in a tank containing carbon dioxide gas. Individual grapes ferment within the skins before they are crushed, resulting in juicier, softer, low-tannin red wines. Mixed Emotions is a blend of carbonic Pinot Noir and Gris combined with Pinot Noir rosé and direct press Pinot Gris, making for a unique hybrid of red, rosé, orange, and white wine with bright berry fruit and lots of acidity. It's natural and low alcohol, but we think everyone will fall in love with it. And if they don't, more for you.
