LOLA is a project by Seth Cripe, who worked at Caymus for several years. His wines are nothing like Caymus, not in style nor price. Lola Chardonnay is cement-fermented Sonoma Coast fruit from the Occidental and Bloomfield vineyards. After 20% malo, aging is primarily in steel, with just 20% in old French oak. This results in a crisp wine with a velvety texture and elegant tropical fruit but none of the fattiness or overbearing vanilla. Screw cap.
