Lioco is a modern-style winery led by the husband and wife team of Matt & Sara Licklider, who partnered with winemaker Drew Huffine and viticulturist Prudy Foxx to source out unique unadulterated vineyards with old vines, old clones, and no irrigation for classic low-oak Chard. Made with hand-harvested fruit from several Sonoma vineyards, Lioco is fermented primarily in steel and aged in large neutral oak casks. Citrus, chalk, and flowers on the nose with notes of lemon, pears, and herbs. Balanced and dry, and pairs well with shellfish, cheese, and fish tacos.
