Domaine des Comtes Lafon is a major league producer of Grand & Premier Cru wine in the legendary Côte de Beaune of Burgundy. With Volnay and Meursault selling for hundreds of dollars, it's nice to know you can access Dominique Lafon's skill and experience at affordable Mâconnais prices. Les Heritiers (the heirs) Mâcon-Villages is a certified Biodynamic, multi-parcel blend of high-altitude, 30+-year-old Chardonnay vines whose fruit is vinified with indigenous yeast and aged in large old barrels. This wine tastes more expensive than it is, with ripe, dense notes of melon, citrus, and stonefruit; the clay structure and limestone brightness shine through the finish. It pairs easily with fish, poultry, rich starches, and dairy.
