Gramona is a world-class Cava producer, yet one of their finest wines is this well-kept secret called Gessami (jess-ah-mee). It is a steel-processed blend of about 50% Sauvignon Blanc blended with various Muscat and some Gewürztraminer. The blend changes year to year to preserve a house style. Still, Gessami (jasmine) always retains its seductively floral and aromatic profile of flower blossoms, tropical fruit, and herbal tea over a vibrant streak of acidity. Pair with salads, sushi, rice dishes, and fish. Look for it in the Spanish section. It's a tall Riesling-shaped bottle with jasmine on the label.
