Brigo is one of the most exciting new Sangiovese to hit the store. Why? It’s off-dry. That might sound odd for a wine from the epicenter of big, serious wines from Brunello country, but despite all expectations, Giuseppe Gorelli uses part of his 15 acres on the outskirts of Montalcino to make Brigo. This Tuscan red is fresh, fruity, soft, and so quaffable, with sweet notes of red cherry and spice against bright acids and fine tannins. We love this with pepperoni pizza, spicy Sugo all'arrabbiata, antipasti, lasagna, and parms. Serve slightly chilled.
