Blanca is Claus Preisinger's white option in his Puszta Libre line, and it also comes in the same skinny Riesling-shaped bottle. This 7-day skin-contact blend of 60% Grüner Veltliner, 35% Weissburgunder (Pinot Blanc), and 5% Muscat Ottonel from Lake Neusiedl is fermented with ambient yeast and vinified to 11.5% ABV, delivering a lively, medium-bodied, unfiltered wine with an aromatic elderflower nose, and a yeasty, savory palate of melon, stone fruit, and grapefruit rind. Chill well, shake the bottle to incorporate the sediment, and serve with grilled chicken, fish, sausages, sandwiches, and Asian fare.
