We can't believe the lip-smacking punch this $15 Bordeaux delivers. It's a blend of biodynamic Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot combined to make a purple-staining, rustic, 14% ABV wine with notes of kirsch, prunes, Christmas pudding, smoked meat, raisins, black licorice, pepper, herbs, stewed berries, and cedar. Even though Le Bergey is full-bodied and intense, it maintains high acidity and grippy tannins for balance. Try it with stews, braises, and winter casseroles such as Cassoulet.
