2010 marks the first time Billecart-Salmon made a vintage Brut Rosé, and, like everything Billecart does, it's a stunner with lots of Grand Cru personality from 55% Chardonnay and 45% Pinot Noir aged on the lees for a whole decade! We're talking about fresh brioche with cherry, strawberry, currant compote, and then raspberry tart topped with rose water Creme Chantilly. All the while, there is chalky minerality and bright acidity to propel the delicate bubbles. The vintage Brut Rosé is double the price of the NV, but maybe it's double the wine. Cellar it for another ten years and reap the rewards.
