Lombardy is in the middle of all the wine regions we know and love: Piedmont to the west, Emilia-Romagna to the south, and Veneto & Trentino to the east. French and Piedmontese grapes are typical here, so you'll find Nebbiolo from Valtellina as well as Champagne-like Chardonnay-based Franciacorta, and tasty Pinot Grigio from Oltrepò Pavese. Officially known as Ar. Pe. Pe, the winery is in its 5th generation, making wines on the Pelizzatti Perego family's reclaimed vineyards near the Italian-Swiss border. Delicate, aromatic, floral, and medium-bodied Nebbiolo aged in large chestnut barrels.
