McKenzie Bourbon is a local New York State product made by Finger Lakes Distilling on the eastern shores of Lake Seneca. From fruit, maple syrup, and grains, nearly 95% of everything Finger Lakes makes is sourced locally - a far cry from most spirits. McKenzie Bourbon is non-chill filtered and made of mash bill containing 70% Yellow Dent corn, 20% rye, and 10% 6-row malted barley. Minimum average aging is four years in 53-gallon heavily charred oak barrels for a smooth, dry, not-too-sweet whiskey with spice, caramel, roasted nuts, floral notes, freshly cut wood, and a touch of cocoa. McKenzie is all about balance and nuance; it doesn't try to be another Kentucky clone. If you like Irish Whisky, try this. 91 proof.
