Abadia da Cova is located in the craggy region of Ribeira Sacra in Galicia, northwestern Spain, just above Portugal. Among mountains, monasteries, forests, and canyons, there are high-altitude vineyards where Abadia da Cova produces lots of wine from the Mencia grape as well as spirits. No. 5 is made with Orujo, a pomace brandy like grappa, then flavored with 20 herbs and sugar for a balanced digestif with enough sweetness to complement the unique herbal flavor and slight bitterness. Mix it with gin, rum, or tequila. 60 proof.
