Since inheriting his uncle's domaine in 1987, Yves Cuilleron has grown Marsanne, Roussanne, Viognier, and Syrah on 125 acres across Condrieu, Saint Joseph, Côte-Rôtie, Saint Péray, and Vin de Pays Collines Rhodaniennes. Viognier (100%) for d'a Cote Collines Rhodaniennes is sourced from a single plot on the granite terraced slopes of Chavanay (4 miles south of Condrieu). Manually harvested fruit is fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged 6-7 months in barrels and large casks. This Viognier is lush but not cloying, with ripe yellow fruit like golden apples and peaches balanced by high acidity. Pair with shrimp, lobster, crab, and chicken in rich sauces. We also carry Cuilleron Syrah.
