Robert Sinskey was an early adopter of organic/Biodynamic methods in Sonoma, incorporating solar, dry farming, biodiesel from restaurant oils, and animals to "mow" the ground cover. His vineyards are spread across five sites all over the Carneros. Made with 100% Pinot Noir from the Sonoma side of Carneros, this Vin Gris (van gree)is a night-harvested, free-run, whole-cluster wine with a pale rose color. Once the juice is fermented in neutral containers, there is nothing but Pinot's crisp, dry expression with strawberry, guava, stone fruit, orange, and persimmon.
