Moutard Champagne is a small, family brand that most people in America have never had. Nevertheless, the Moutard-Dilligent family has been making wine in the village of Buxeuil since the 17th century. Their specialty is well-aged bubbly, both vintage and non-vintage. Cuvée des 6 Cépages is a blend of all allowed Champagne grapes: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Meunier, Pinot Blanc, Arbane, and Petit Meslier, aged six years on the lees. This dry, crisp, youthful wine is aromatic, floral, and resplendent with pear, red berries, and praline.
