We've all probably had a wine made by Michel Rolland. Through years of analysis at his laboratory in Libourne, he codified a particular style of Bordeaux since the 1980s with big fruit, big oak, and micro-oxygenation. Success at dozens of top chateaux eventually brought Rolland to California, where he would consult at "cult" wineries like Dalla Valle, Harlan, Screaming Eagle, and Bryant.
