Larmandier-Bernier is a prime example of grower Champagne: Biodynamic protocol, small production, and dedication to quality over marketing. Pierre & Sophie Larmandier farm less than 40 acres in the finest Grand & Premier Cru villages across Côte des Blancs. Vieilles Vignes de Levant Extra Brut is 100% very-old- vine Chardonnay from the village of Cramant fermented in foudres and Burgundy barrels. The low dosage lets candied fruit, herb tea, linden, marzipan, panettone, and citrus peel shine through. We would love to see how this wine develops over the next 20 years.
