Cyril is the 5th generation of Audoins to work the family land in the village of Marsannay (at the northern tip of Côte de Nuits). There are now 34 acres that extend over parcels Champs-Salomon, Les Crais, Herbues, La Pucine, and Les Echezeaux, which are the exact sources for Cuvée Marie Ragonneau, in honor of Cyril's great-grandmother. The destemmed grape clusters are cold-macerated and fermented for two weeks before barrel-aging for one year in oak (10% new). Unfined and unfiltered, Cuvee Marie shows concentrated red berries on a medium-bodied frame with notes of savory dark earth, baking spice, and creamy salted nougat. Pair with duck breast, leg of lamb, mushroom dishes. BTW, the estate has been certified organic since 2021.
