Often dismissed as a sweet, simple, fizzy red, Lambrusco runs the gamut of super dry to sweet, and the better wines like Balotta offer plenty of personality and complexity. Mr. Brigo makes his Lambrusco with 100% Grasparossa, one of several varieties of Emilia Romagna with the most tannin and concentration. This red sparkler is juicy and rich with lots of black fruit, herbs, acid, and tannins. Pair with Mexican food, Italian fare, and BBQ. Serve cold.
