Letherbee was founded by Chicago bartender Brenton Engel, who was experimenting with moonshine before moving on to renditions of Swedish Besk, Fernet, Absinthe, standard Gin, and two highly allocated semi-annual vintage gins made in the spring and fall. Seasonal recipes differ yearly; Vernal 2023 features basil, peach, juniper, and other botanicals, but fruit and herbs really stand out. Fantastic in summery Gin & Tonic. 96 proof.
