Though there were once 30 distilleries on the Kintyre peninsula (located in the sea between Islay and the Lowlands), now Glen Scotia, Glengyle, and Springbank are the only ones remaining in Campbeltown appellation. Founded in 1832, the distillery retained many of its historic fixtures, water source (Crosshill Loch), and house style through a recent modernization. Victoriana celebrates Victorian-era Campbeltown whisky with classic toffee and maritime notes. Victoriana is non-chill filtered, naturally colored, and cask strength. Flavors of caramel, glazed fruit, cocoa, oak spice, currants, and Crème Brûlée. Serve neat with a splash of spring water. 108.4 proof.
