Guyana once had 300 rum estates, but today only one remains. Located on the banks of the Demerara River, Demerara Distillers uses some of the oldest stills in the world to distill and mature the premium line of El Dorado rum just 350 miles from the equator.
This incredibly priced mature amber rum is aged at least 12 years in old bourbon barrels and shows notes of marzipan, cherry, baking spice, herbs, apple, dried date, papaya, bread, and oak tannins. It is perfect for sipping on the rocks and comes in a cool old-fashioned bottle. 80 proof.
