Bordiga's is the best entry-level amaro, but in a good way. Others can be very bitter and intense, making for a bracing experience for some drinkers. Chiot is mild, refreshing, and soft with balanced bitter/sweet in a mouthful of just 18% ABV. Reflecting its origins in the Piedmont Alps, there are notes of herbs, mint, dried flowers, and licorice. Chiot is the perfect light digestif after a big meal.
