Sfumato Rabarbaro might be a tongue-twister, but if you say "smoky rhubarb," we'll know what you mean. Sfumato's recipe departs from other Amari that rely on neutral alcohol infused with gentian or quinine for the main bittering components. Instead, Luigi and Maddalena Cappelletti use rhubarb root combined with alpine herbs and berries steeped in a wine base. Purple-tinged with ample bitterness complemented by smoke, wood, earth notes, and sweet fruit. Drink as a digestif or with citrus sodas, natural tonic water, rum, and whiskey. 20% Alcohol.
