Cachaça (ka-sha-sa) is a Brazilian rum categorized by age, white (prata) and gold (ouro). However, it is distinct from most Caribbean and Latin American rums because it's made of freshly pressed sugarcane juice instead of molasses. Produced by Marcos Vaccaro in the Bahia region of coastal Brazil, Abelha (bee) is the product of fair trade local organic sugarcane that exhibits flavors of tropical fruit, lemongrass, and white pepper.
