Equipo Navazos is not a winery or producer. It is a group of sherry lovers who find forgotten old casks in Spanish cellars and then bottle multiple versions of each style, highlighting the beauty of this noble fortified wine in its natural state. "En Rama" means it comes directly from the cask with minor filtration, and this particular wine was taken from the barrel in February 2022. While inexpensive Manzanilla can be a one-dimensional expression of the Palomino grape, Navazos is a complex, mature, amber-colored, cloudy, sea-side wine from Sanlúcar de Barrameda. It's dry, salty, and bright with lively acids, plus a touch of dried mushrooms, nuts, and fruit that round out the palate. Wine like this goes with any mild, savory food from various cuisines. 15% abv.
