Laurent Cazottes is the true embodiment of an artisanal distiller. What else could you expect from a man who makes tomato liqueur? This brandy is made with Reine Claude plums, also known as golden Greengage plums, which came initially from Persia and made its way to France, England, and Colonial America. All the heirloom fruit is estate grown on 1.7 acres, and the arduous work is done entirely by hand to extract the intense aromatics, plum notes, and earthiness. Cazottes uses his father's old traveling still to make just 200 bottles for the US. 90 proof.
